My Breeding

My breeding started when I got my novice registrated as a European sh.

I planned to breed with her and applied a cattery name. The cattery of "Kuutuulen" started on 1990.

Unfortunately my female neighter got pregnant nor had success in the show. So I bought a breeded European. This sweet little thing was a blotched blue tabby female, whose mother was bought from Sweden. She gave me the first litter of Kuutuulen in -92.

Even though I understood that European sh is a breed for me I was also very interested in other breeds. I started to make plans for some semilonghair breed. There was only a question would it be Norwagian forest cat or maine coon.

And then I saw a couple of Turkish angora cats in one show. I talked a while with their owner and decided that there is a breed for me. The breeding of Turkish angora would be as challenging as the breedig of European sh.

I bought my first angora, white female Nazarlik Aurora, in -94.

Two years later the first angora litter in the cattery of Kuutuulen was born. The father for this litter was Yildiz Oberon, a handsome white male from USA.

Since I have in my house so many studs I tend not to keep home unspayed females. Because of that I try to place a promising female from every litter and I also have at the moment one Turkish angora female co-owned.
